About Us
Tordi Village is truly the heart of Rajasthan. The village has everything that a guest expects in Rajasthan – Proximity, wilderness, cultural experiences, unspoilt atmosphere, hillocks, dunes, lakes, stepwells, temples, and wide activities to name a few. By making simple changes in the old property and adding personal touches, Tordi Garh strives to make every visit of their guest special.
With a history of more tha 5 centuries, The Tordi family a decendent of Khangr Singh established the village and the surrounding hanlets. The present family lives in the fort and Thakur Hemendra Singh converted a part of this building into a beautiful guest house. The family and the locals are involved in running the property and also delivering the experiences in and around the village.

Explore the village with a local
A walk through the old parts of the village lead you to some amazing experiences - be it pottery, women singing at the temple, or bargaining in the vibrant market, or villagers hovering around the handpump, a walk through the farm or a simple stop over at the age old step well the walk is very enriching for the travellers and a great opportunity to interact with the families. you can take some time in the farms and participate in the activities out there. Stop for a cup of tea at the local stall or interact with the village eldes sitting under a tree.
Hike up to the ancient Tordi Fortress
A morning hike up at Sunrise to the Ancient Tordi Fortress is a thrilling experience. Getting up at dawn and then driving down to the base of the hillock and climbing up with the group and the local guide, waking the old path and stones and once you are atop getting to see the amazing sunrise over a cup of Chai Tea is as exhilrating as it can get. The fortress now in ruins is a 400 year old structures and has seen many a battles.
Jeep Safari around the countryside.
A Jeep Safari to the Dunes, the TordiSagar Dam, the temples tucked in the hills, the distant farms and the tribal hamlets in the vicinity while chancing upon some wild cat or an antelope. The dunes at Tordi are pretty high and travllers love to climb up and witness the sunsets or simply have some sundowners before returning back to Tordi Garh. The jeeps are all owned by local villagers and help them in the process.
